With the global Coronavirus pandemic expected to take a huge toll on clubs’ finances, Real Madrid are considering a move for Cameroon and Fulham midfielder Andre Zambo-Anguissa in the summer.
The 24-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Villarreal from Fulham. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Zambo Aguissa will be an affordable but reliable acquisition for the Merengues.
Villarreal have also demanded to make the former Marseille midfielder’s loan move permanent, but will find it difficult to meet up with his £70,000 a week wages.
Though Real have an eye on the midfielder, they will also push for a salary reduction for the and will demand to pay a price lower than his £22 million release clause. Real are said to be willing to pay £17 million for the native of Yaoundé.
Zambo Anguissa has featured in 25 games across all competitions for Villarreal this season with a goal and an assist to his name.
He moved to Fulham in 2018 for a club record transfer fee of £30 million in 2018.
But the Cameroonian struggled to nail a regular place in the team and was often played out of position for the West London outfit.
