In a game that didn’t lack sparks nor fireworks, Collins Sikombe (14) came out on top with true leadership qualities on the ball that inspired Zambia to victory in the Total CHAN 2020 group D opener.
For most of the game, Sikombe dictated play from his half of the pitch straight into the Tanzanian defensive compartment which was lackluster for most of the game.
Sikombe was instrumental to the first goal as his incursion let to a cross from Emmanuel Chakuna and the ball was stroke into the hands of a Tanzanian Defender for a penalty which was beautifully converted by Sikombe himself in the 63rd minute of play.
With 10 minutes left of the watch, Sikombe provided a looping cross that met Emmanuel Chakuna (17) in the 18-yard box and he made no mistake to score with a beautiful right-foot volley which many say is a contestant for the goal of the tournament.
