Cameroon’s intermediate Lions gaffer Yves Clement Arroga has told the media on Saturday in Brazzaville that his team for the 2020 CHAN competition remains open to players who didn’t get a chance to travel to Congo.
Speaking 24 hours before Cameroon’s friendly against DR Congo, the coach declared his eyes are still on what is happening back home for there is still quality to go for should need be.
The gaffer recently invited 30 players, 26 of whom are in the Congo Republic for two friendlies in preparations for the upcoming CHAN.
“I think the players here are the best for the moment, but that doesn’t prevent us from having a look at other players. There will be some good games this weekend back home, our position as a technical staff hasn’t changed. If we find a good player, we will bring him in. I encourage players to keep working”; Coach Arroga stated.
Coach Clement Arroga has an enviable record of three wins in four games ahead of his fifth and second international friendly this afternoon in Brazzaville.
The coach has observed a good number of players so far but with just over six weeks left before the start of the tournament, it will be surprising to see lots of changes in his final list of 23 players for the tournament.
