Cameroon Elite One side Astres of Douala have signed Bissouma Wanre Yves on a two-year deal from amateur side Real Academy of New Bell.
We understand the Brazilian of Bepanda had made the defender a transfer priority during the regular season but had to wait for the close season window to get him as a free agent.
The 18-year-old who spent two seasons with the New Bell outfit has Astres as the first platform through which he will get Elite One football experience after about half a decade in amateur championship.
Bissouma is Astres’ sixth signing this August as they strengthen for the first ever 100 Million FCFA prize money season.
Cabrel Djantou from New Stars, Landry Ntankeu as a free agent, ex-Best Stars forward Ekoi Jonas, Biboum Maurice and Ulrich Ndong have all accepted to join the boys of coach Nicolas Ntonye Ntonye.
Astres are assembling a squad for the 2022/23 season hoping to repeat their great ride during the just-ended season in which they reached the title playoffs and the quarter-final of the Cup of Cameroon.
He could make his competitive debut for the club in the month of October as the top tier championship in Cameroon is slated to get underway on October 15.
