Cameroon International midfielder Yvan Neyou has left relegated AS Saint Etienne for another Ligue 1 club.
After having a difficult time last football season with Saint Etienne where he played 14 matches, Yvan Neyou is looking for a new challenge that will make him competitive ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
According to ESPN journalist Laurent Chevalier, Saint Etienne and Clermont Foot have agreed for the player to join Clermont Foot.
With a 5 M€ value placed on Neyou by Transfermarkt, Cameroon International will be joining Clermont Foot for 1.5M€.
Yvan Neyou’s move to Clermont Foot means that the player will stay in the French Ligue 1 and remain competitive to fight for a place in the indomitable Lions squad ahead of the World cup.
Born on January 3, 1997, in Douala Cameroon, the 25-year-old made his senior debut for Cameroon on June 4, 2021, in Cameroon’s 1#0 win over Nigeria in a friendly match. Since then, he went on to make five appearances for Cameroon.
Yvan Neyou was part of the Cameroon squad that finished third in the last AFCON hosted by Cameroon.
