Nigerian striker, Yusuf Otubanjo scored two goals for Ararat Armenia as they were defeated in the Armenian Cup final on penalties by FC Noah, www.kick442.com can report.
In a high scoring match, Otubanjo scored twice as the game ended 5-5 after extra time before Ararat Armenia fell to a 7-6 defeat on penalties in the Armenian Cup final.
Yusuf who played the full 120 minutes for his side score their third goal in the 29th minute before Ararat Armenia surrendered a 1-4 lead.
Yusuf Otubanjo also took the game into the lottery of penalties by scoring the equaliser for Ararat Armenia to force out a 5-5 draw after extra time.
In the course of the penalty shootouts, Yusuf Otubanjo also converted his spot-kick but it couldn’t rescue his side from a 7-6 defeat in the cup final.
Ararat Armenia is one point ahead of FC Noah in the Armenian League table and occupied the sole UEFA Champions League spot which is up for grabs in the league.
Otubanjo has scored six league goals thus far for Ararat Armenia this season.
