YOSA’S youngster Yuh Moses has congratulated the social club of Bamenda PWD for emerging as champions for the 2019/2020 football season, in the Cameroon’s Elite one championship.
This is following the decision made Tuesday May 12, 2020, by Cameroon Transitional Technical Committee CTT and members of government in Cameroon after hours of deliberation to abandon the Cameroon top tier and PWD crowned champions.
Talking to kick442.com, Yuh Moses popularly known as Ozil says PWD merits the trophy and congratulated the boys.
“PWD merits the trophy so much because they actually worked for it. They have been at the top. It has been a tough league this season but they sailed through. They have had a great run through out this season even though not to the end but at this point, they deserve it. CONGRATULATIONS.”
The boys of Coach David Pagou has broken the thirst for 54 years of existence without drinking from the Cameroon’s cup. They were declared champions after playing 28 games with 47 points in the The Cameroon top flight. They are said represent the country in the CAF champions league.
FECAFOOT’s decision comes about eight weeks after football activities in Cameroon were halted due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, rendering football activities on a recess.
Cameroon joins other African countries to abandon the league and declaring champions following CAF’s orders to member countries to state the fate of their league with deadline being May 5th, 2020.
