Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko has picked up a toe injury set to keep him out of action for the rest of the 2020-2021 season.
The 16-year old sensational teenager picked up a toe problem in training last week in activity for the Under-21s of Germany and results of a scan shows he has a fracture.
Moukoko who set a new appearance record in the Bundesliga in November last year and a new scorer record a month later is set to be out for at least four weeks.
The teenager who was born in Yaounde Cameroon moved to Germany less than a decade ago.
Indomitable of Lions Cameroon head coach António Conceição Da Silva Oliviera has openly expressed his admiration of the boy’s talent and revealed his technical staff were keen on getting the boy. It is uncertain if he will continue the process or not after Moukoko’s inclusion in the Germany Under-21 squad.
Going by FIFA laws, playing for the U21s of a national selection still leaves a player open to a switch of nationality.
Moukoko joined Dortmund’s academy ranks in 2016 from St Pauli and graduated to the senior squad last year and last weekend he scored his third goal in 270 minutes of football for the Club.
Moukoko has taken to Instagram to assure his fans he will be back stronger.
