30-year-old Moroccan midfielder Younes Belhanda is closing in on the end of his three-year stay at Turkish side Galatasaray.
Reports from the Turkish media have it that the player’s agent has been duly informed to find a club for him from next season.
Belhanda is on contract at Galatasaray till the summer of 2021.
The former Montpellier man has made just under 100 appearances for the club from which he has scored 12 goals and provided 22 assists since swapping Kiev for Instanbul in 2017.
Despite the satisfactory output from the Avignon-native, Turkish media say he may leave the Türk Telekom Stadium this summer. Galatasaray is seeking avenues to cut expenses as they have been hit by the global crisis.
The one-time Schalke midfielder is one of the big earners at the club.
Despite starting his international career with the French Under 20 national team, Belhanda has amassed 58 caps for the Atlas Lions of Morocco from which he has scored five goals.
There is growing speculation that the creative midfielder maybe heading to the Middle East with options in Qatar and Saudi Arabia wherein a handful of Moroccan international ply their trade.
