Former Hearts of Oak and Kotoko sensational attacker Charles Taylor has replied the management of Accra Hearts of Oak on their statement barring him and the other former players from commenting on issues in the club especially on Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe’s comment on preventing the former players from returning to the club.
In his reaction, Charles Taylor said he did not insult Dr. Tamackloe rather he expressed his opinion on the issue but people take opinions expressed by young people as insult.
According to him, blocking the returnees from coming back into the club will kill their talents and he sees it to be an archaic statement from Dr. Nyaho Tamackloe.
“In our part of the word, sharing your views on comments made by an elderly is misconstrued for insults. You kill the talents and career of returnee players if you block them from rejoining the club.
I was only being blunt and not out of hatred.I want the progress of the club instead so am surprised by the statement from Hearts of Oak. Even the president of the country is insulted.I have not insulted Dr Nyaho Tamakloe.Saying he is archaic isn’t an insult because it’s obvious he’s aged. I have no problem with him, he can’t even recognize me.He’s my neighbour at spintex but I have to introduce myself to him anytime I see him.I’m sorry if he’s offended by my description of him as being archaic but he cannot block professionals from rejoining the club. The pain from my move to Kotoko is something still hunting the current leaders of the club. I cannot be barred from commenting on issues at the club but I will keep mute on their issues henceforth.” Charles Taylor told Kumasi FM
The board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamackloe has suggested to the management not to allow any player who left the club to abroad to return back into the team.
According to the renowned medical doctor, retired military officer and a former diplomat, some of the players wait for their contract to end with the club and travel abroad for free but when things don’t go well then they want to come back. An observation which Tailor doesn’t consider sensible.
