The head coach of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda Nkabyo Martin, has hinted on a possibility of making some changes to his squad, when they face Djiko FC in Match Day seven in Pool A of the MTN Elite one championship.
The yellow submarines of Bamenda, who have had a scintillating start to the season, will take on struggling Djiko FC of Bandjoun, at the Bepanda Reunification stadium on Friday, as from 3:30pm.
Nkabyo Martin and his boys have recorded four wins and one draw in their five games played this season, sitting second in their Pool, behind Canon Sportif of Yaoundé.
Friday’s game will be YOSA’s last outing in Douala before they head to Yaoundé, where they will complete the remainder of the first round. A positive result to end what has been a near perfect stay in the economic capital, remains the main objective for YOSA, when they face a Djiko FC side that is last but one of the 13 teams in Pool A.
“We’re here with a full squad and all the players have been working hard and it is difficult playing every two days. There are players who have been regular and tomorrow is our last game here so it is important to give some of the regular players some rest and give the chance for the others who have not had the opportunity to play, because they merit to play also,” Nkabyo Martin said during his pre_match press conference.
Sitting side by side with Nkabyo during the press conference, was midfielder Yuh Moses, who happens to be one of the players who will not play an active role in Friday’s game.
“I am here with a player who will not feature in tomorrow’s game, but he is a player of the team, and I’m satisfied with what all of them have been doing. I think he sits here like any other player and give his views about what this team has been doing,” Nkabyo added.
Coach Nkabyo also debunked social media informations, which claimed that some supporters pressurized him to drop Yuh Moses from the team.
“I have been in YOSA for three years and anyone who knows me, understands that I don’t take decisions based on what people think. I know my team better than any other person and I don’t think it is anyone who usually ask me to put Yuh on the lineup, I decide when he is going to play and when he is out. As for a supporter talking to me, I have never had that kind of situation before, so I don’t know where that information is coming From. Like I said before, Yuh is a player like any other player in the team. There are matches he is going to be on the match squad and there are other matches he is not going to be there. I am the one taking the decisions and I know why I take those decisions.”

YOSA’s communication team has announced a squad of 18 players to take part in the game against Djiko FC, with three players Kamale Yannick, Obiang Willy and Belkink Zemenjou Dibong, making their first appearance on the 18_man match day squad.
Wins against Astres, Racing, Fauve Azur, Fortuna and a draw against APEJES, means YOSA is unbeaten in their five league games, and conceded just one goal, keeping four clean sheets.
The 2013 Cameroon cup winners, have the possibility of going top of Pool A on Friday evening, should they win Djiko FC.
