One of Sunshine Queen’s brightest performers in the 2018 Football season Yoh Carine Mbuh Ndoum has told kick442.com that she still eyes a place in the Indomitable Lionesses team especially with the 2019 world cup and 2020 AWCON around the corner.
Speaking from her based in Nigeria barely days after the end of the Nigerian Women’s Football season,the former Under 17 and Under 20 Lioness sounded satisfied.
“I like playing Football,I enjoy this game,I missed the first 3 games of the season due to administrative reasons,it was difficult but thank the administrators who handled that promptly”
“I think playing the number of games I played in a very competitive Nigeria Women’s Football environment leaves me very satisfied but I have to keep working to fight for a place in an already very good Lionesses team,I follow every activity of the team and sincerely miss being involved but believe God knows when my time will come again,my only role now is to keep working”
The 25 year old Midfielder had a great season for the Nigerian top flight, Sunshine Queens side she only joined earlier last year.They Qualified for the super 4 competition and reached the Quarter finals of the challenge cup where the were eliminated by Rivers Angels of Porthacourt.
Carine played 17 games for Sunshine Queens last season and scored 3 goals plus 7 assists from the deep Midfield position.
The former Atasehir Belediyespor Midfielder won gold with Cameroon in the 2011 All Africa games in Maputo and remain in the team until 2016 before the AWCON.
She didn’t make the Tournament squad and has not had an invitation to play for the National team since then.
The former Bayelsa Queens and FC Lokoja Midfielder is currently playing her best Football for a Nigerian Club.
