Cameroonian Midfielder, Carine Mbuh Ndoum Yoh of Sunshine Queens FC has showered praises on Nasarawa Amazons following a virgin tie between the her club and Nasarawa Amazons in Day 5 of the Nigeria Women Football League.
The must win game for Sunshine Queens ended goalless to the disappointment of the fans who turn out for the Game. But Carine a second half substitute in the game thinks it was a point gained though her side wanted all 3 points.
The points takes Sunshine Queens to the second spot on the log with 8 points but Yoh remains optimistic about her club’s chances in the contest for a playoffs ticket.
The Cameroonian midfielder told this online portal how she felt about the contest.
“Nasarawa Amazons is one of the top teams in this league, they have been challenging for honours recently because they have quality in their current squad,so getting a point wasn’t easy but we gave our best and came away with a point;” Yoh said
The point puts Sunshine Queens in a position in which they need to win their last game at home to Kaduna FC and hope other results go for them before they qualify for the Super 4.
Sunshine Queens face Kaduna FC in their last game on Wednesday hoping to win and have the result of the game Nasarawa Amazons versus Bayelsa Queens go for them so that they can qualify for the Super 4.
Yoh has featured in 4 of 5 games this season for her club following her return to full fitness.
