Cameroon’s international centre back, Yaya Banana has been listed on the departure list by Greek side Olympiakos.
The Olympiacos center back who spent last season on loan at Greek club Panionios maybe on his way out of Greece or at least off the books of his current employers.
Yaya Banana scored one of Cameroon’s four goals at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as Cameroon was eliminated at the round of 16 by eventual semi finalist Nigeria.
Yaya Banana’s professional career began in June 2009, when he joined Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis before he later moved to Europe to play for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard from Espérance Tunis in January 2012.
Yaya spent 2013/2014 season on loan at Swiss club Lausanne-Sport before moving to Greek Super League side Platanias in July 2014.Upon his arrival,he became the undisputed leader of the club’s back line but in June 2017, he joined Panionios.
He signed for Olympiacos F.C in the 2018 summer transfer window but returned to Panionios on a season-long loan as he was not in the plans of Olympiacos coach Pedro Martins.
