12 nations are upbeat to take part in the Tourney which is slated to take part in Mauritania this year.
Host Mauritania qualified by being host meanwhile Burkina Faso and Ghana are the only two teams to have taken part in the last edition of the Total CAN U-20 tournament in Niger.
The U-20 tournament serves as qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the best four (04) of the CAN qualifying directly.
Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gambia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda all join host Mauritania to complete the 12 nations youth football feast.
Host Mauritania will according to CAF be in Pot 1 (A1), Ghana, and Burkina Faso also fall in Pot 1.
The first team drawn will be in the B1 position, while the second will be in C1.
All other participating nations shall be distributed In Pot 2 which will later be split into three groups during the le general draws to be Hosted by Cameroon on Monday 25th of January 2021.
