APEJES of Mfou full-back Ulrich Martin Yampili has described this Saturday’s clash against YOSA of Bamenda in Nkwen as a game between two equals.
Visiting APEJES of Mfou traveled to Bamenda and held host YOSA to a goalless draw in a game of few chances which could have gone either way if finishing was better.
Speaking to the APEJES of Mfou media director post-match, defender Yampili sounded satisfied about the result.
“It was an equal game. From the beginning we decided we had to do all to go home with a minimum of a point. We could have won it in tge end as we had chances but we were unlucky against a very physical YOSA side,” Yampili stated.
The 22-year old full-back lasted the duration of the encounter and believes if the pitch was better the results could have been different and promises more in the next outing.
“We attempted on goal today, though we did not score, the rhythm is already good. Next time out on a better pitch, we will do better than today,” Yampili concluded.
APEJES who came into the match-day on the second spot now count eight points from four games and remain second with a game in hand and a point adrift of Panthere going into match-day six at home to UMS of Loum.
Yampili has been vital for coach Ndongo Emma this term, featuring in all four games so far.
APEJES of Mfou of captain Yerima Bouahari are looking like the team to beat in their eighth season in the top-flight Championship.
