Tuesday, April 2, 2019 is a day after the indomitable lions head coach, Clarence Seedorf was born, (April 1) while goal keeper Andre Onana was born on April 2nd. The Dutchman (Seedorf) turned 43 on Monday while Andre Onana turns 22 this Tuesday, April second.

These two have a lots of similarities, as they both started a career with Ajax of Amsterdam and they are now working hand in gloves to ensure the the Cameroon national team retains the AFCON title.

Football is lucky to have known Seedorf. In the midfielder’s hay days he could roll a pass with the back of his heels.Seedorf played for prominent clubs like Ajax, AC Milan, Real and a host of others, winning dozens of accolades and dazzling the globe with his skills while scoring over 110 goals for club and country_hanging his boots to take up coaching as a new challenge.

As a coach, the Dutch conductor has handled 4 clubs already: AC Milan, Shenzhen, Deportivo de La Coruna and now he’s in charge of the Cameroon national team.

Clarence is yet to announce himself as a coach in the big stage, and her comes the golden chance for his coaching ability to be uncovered with the lions.

The man in-between the sticks (Andre Onana) is celebrating his 22 birthday today. The lad is leaving his dream already with over 26 games played for Ajax since the start of this season, and has a 54 percent clean sheet ratio for the side.

Ajax and Onana lost the Europa league final in 2017 against United but since then Ajax have reinforced and are in the last 8 of the UCL, and also in strong contention for the Eredivise.

With 14 clean sheets out of 26 games
It seems the keeper cannot put a foot wrong at the moment, combined with his new contract extension despite the interest of big European club’s lurking around. For the Cameroon national team, Onana became first choice under Clarence Seedorf, and he would go in for the AFCON as his second major competition after the Confederations cup with a point to prove to his nation after, he snubbed a chance to represent Cameroon in the 2017 AFCON.
