30-year-old Gabriel Aboudi Onguene did not forget her journey and who oversaw her to the peak of her powers after she scored the 43rd minute leveller at the time to cancel out a V. Maidena goal in a space of just about 2 minutes.
It went beyond a goal for the poacher and seemed even more special as she lifted her green top to a warm message that read “Thank you Ghislaine Bebom”.
Ghislaine Bebom was a seasoned analyst and consultant who passed away after a cardiac arrest on June 9 and also considered the mentor of the CSKA Moscow striker, Aboudi Onguene.
The gesture is indeed a class act gesture to the woman considered as her mentor and the one who told her she was good enough when every other person on planet earth thought she was thin and physically not in shape to play football. Ghislaine would feel satisfied and proud wherever she is watching her ‘daughter’ right now.
