A gripping contest at Jinzhou Stadium saw Shanghai Shenshu recover from an early two-goal deficit to claim a point against Chinese Super League leaders Wuhan Zall FC.
Christian Bassogog scored twice as title chasers Shanghai Shenshua fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 in an exciting Chinese Super League matchday 10 fixture this Tuesday.
The Cameroon international was in inspiration form after it looked as though Wu Jingui’s call to shuffle his pack would see his side come away empty-handed as they deservedly trailed to efforts from Bruno Viana and Hu Rentian in the 16th and 22 minutes respectively after Bassogog had put the visitors ahead after six minutes.
Despite being down by 1-2 Shanghai rallied and Cao Yunding scored in the 49th minute to clinch a point in a match packed with incident.
Bassogog, Shenshua’s talisman saw out the 90 minutes as his side fell short of completing the turnaround and claiming all three points.
The 26-year old Cameeoonian forward has scored twice and provided three assist in ten matches this season. This has propelled his club to the second spot on the league standings with 21 points, seven points off leaders Wuhan.
