Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto on Wednesday defeated Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri 3-0 to qualify for the quarter-final of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender in Doha.
Harimoto took the three sets with 11-4, 13-11, and 11-7 score-lines to seal a quarter-final date with South Korea’s Youngsik Jeoung.
Quadri on Thursday defeated Japan’s Masataka Morizono 3-1 (6-11, 9-11, 11-1, 7-11) to progress to the Round of 16 but could not replicate his previous game feat as he bowed out of the WTT Contender tournament.
