Nigeria’s 400 metres women representatives at the IAAF world athletics championship qualified for the 400 metres semifinals today.
Favour Ofili placed third with a time of 51.51s in her heat to qualify automatically while Patience Okon George who placed sixth in her Heat with a time of 51.77s qualified as one of Best 6 fastest losing time.
Ofili’s 51.51s was a personal best and a fantastic one for the young athlete who is making her debut.
She was the 200 metres African Games champion in Rabat, Morocco.
The fearless star had lost the 400 metres of the African Games to compatriot, Patience Okon as she took silver.
