FIFA:IFAB accepts five substitutions per game

World Football Governing Body, FIFA has offered US$500,000 (300 millionfrs CFA) to the Cameroon Women’s Football Federation.

The donation is the first step of FIFA’s Covid-19 Relief assistance plan to her member countries during this period of global health crises.

211 football governing bodies will benefit from about USD 150 million for financial relief as per the resolutions arrived at FIFA’s Council meeting.

“The pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges for the entire football community and, as the world governing body, it is FIFA’s duty to be there and support the ones that are facing acute needs,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino told gathered.

“This starts by providing immediate financial assistance to our member associations, many of which are experiencing severe financial distress.
“This is the first step of a far-reaching financial relief plan we are developing to respond to the emergency across the whole football community.

“Together with our stakeholders, we are assessing the losses and we are working on the most appropriate and effective tools to implement the other stages of this relief plan.”

In addition, each member association will receive US$1million as a solidarity grant while an additional US$2 million has been set aside by each confederation.

FIFA has also set up a Covid-19 Relief plan steering committee to ensure the proper use of the funds and proper management has gathered.

The remaining entitlements for 2019/2020 will be paid accordingly.
