FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced plans to increase the number of teams at the FIFA Women’s World Cup from 24 to 32.

There will also be plans to introduce a FIFA Women’s Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Africa has no continental club competition for women.

For the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the prize money will be increased from $30m to $60m but a year prior at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the men’s prize money will be $440m.

Basically, the women despite an increment will earn just 13.6% of what the men earn.

The 2019 Women’s World Cup has been regarded as a huge success by many with increase in follower ship and marketability.

The final of the World Cup will be between the USA and the Netherlands.
