Super Falcons of Nigeria continued their preparation ahead of the 2019 FIFA women World Cup slated for France later this year with a resounding 6-1 triumph over Icelandic side UMF Selfoss at Pinatar Arena, Murcia, Spain.
UMF Selfoss scored the first goal in the 31st minute via Reimus Magda. Nigeria Equalised through Uchenna Kanu in the 42nd minute.
Half time Scores stayed at 1-1.
In the second half Coach Thomas Denerby made some changes. Umotong, Imo, Dike, Ajibade, Ayinde replaced Oparanozie, Uchendu, Kanu, Chikwelu and Ogebe.
The changes counted as much as Courtney Dike grabbed a hatrick in the 57th, 72nd and 76th minute. While Brighton and Hove Albion player, Ini Umotong grabbed a 62nd and 69th brace to give Nigeria a 6-1 triumph.
Super falcons will continue their preparation on Monday when they trade tackle with Canadian Women National Side.
