It came from a 25-17 loss to a 18-8 win to end the first half 35 points to 33 points.
By the third quarter, Egypt came back with a slim lead of 44 to 43, but Senegal would not relent in the pursuit for a victory.
The Lioncelles pulled the chestnut out of the fire to tie the game at 61 all in the final phase to snatch an extra minutes encounter.
Senegal utilised the extra period to win it first of the tournament 67-64.
Egypt go against Mali in the final tomorrow in the battle for who becomes 2020 champion.
