Tennis World number six player, Stefano Tsisipas has described his first reaction when the Wimbledon was cancelled as ”April fools joke.”
He took to his twitter handle to register is apparent sadness and how he will miss one of the biggest tennis event this year.

”I went to bed thinking this was all a bad April fools joke but I woke up to today help to find the Wimbledon is actually cancelled, I will miss this special event and I can’t wait to 2021, stay home, stay sane!” He tweeted.
The twenty-one year old player is tagged as one of the Next Gen to take over from the top guns of present day tennis in Roger Federer, Novak Jokovic and Raphael Nadal.
The Greek tennis player was knocked out in the first round of last year’s event was looking to improve on his game after winning the ATP final late last year.

Wimbledon had been cancelled for the first time since World War Two because of the coronavirus pandemic.
