Rokna News reported the passing of
23-year-old Iranian Futsal player Elham Sheikh, on Wednesday, February 26.
The sad event happened in the city of Qom, 150 kilometres south of Tehran. Elham Sheikhi had been suffering from the virus for a period of 10 days and finally ‘kicked the bucket’ in the latter hours of Wednesday.
The CoronaVirus outbreak has been a growing concern in football over the last few days just like the infamous racism has been throughout the existence of the ‘beautiful game.’
The widespread of the epidemic has intensified, the latest danger spot in Europe and Italy in particular where King Udoh, Nigerian player of italian Serie C, Pianese contracted the CoronaVirus and became the first footballer to have contacted the virus this week.
Due to this feared, no mercy killer of a virus which has taken the life of Elham Sheikhi and over 2000 lives with close to 73,000 cases of the infection recorded so far, the European football federations might embark on programming games behind closed doors just like the Italian Serie A is rumoured to start doing during the weekend.
