49-year-old French tactician Sébastien Migne has been appointed Assistant Head coach of Cameroon’s Senior Men’s Football National Team.
He is expected to be one of the multiple assistants to the newly appointed Head Coach Rigobert Song Bahanag, whose appointment and that of his deputies were confirmed this Monday February 28,2022.
Migné is one of two non-Cameroonian in the list of coaches appointed by the President of the Cameroon Football Federation. At 49, he is considered to be the most experienced of all the coaches having previously managed multiple national teams in Africa and Clubs in Africa.
In 2011 Sebastian was appointed Deputy coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo national team. And had served for two years as head coach of the Congolese under 20 team in 2013. He was the first coach to qualify the team for the continental championship. He Combined both roles until 2015 , when he left both responsibilities.
In 2016 Migné returned on the African football scenery, via an offer from the Togolese Football Federation, where he was assistant coach of the Togolese National Football team A job which he occupied for two years.
In 2017 , he was appointed Head Coach of the Congolese Men’s National team, a job he will keep from 2017 to 2018 .
On 3 May 2018, Migné was named the new head coach of the Kenya men’s national team. Under Migné Kenya was nominated for the CAF Men’s national team of the year award in 2018, for the first time in history.He lasted two years at the helm of the Kenya Football National team.
On November 7, 2019, he was announced as coach of the Equatorial Guinea national team. A job he kept for a year.
Since 2020 he has not been on the African football scenery. The new job at the helm of the Cameroon Football Federation, gives him the new opportunity to continue his journey.
At the Level of the African football,he is the oldest among the new staff set up by the Fecafoot Executive Bureau.
Beside managing in African, he has had a huge experience across the world and have played for French sides, La Roche VF in 1989,Stade de Vallauris in 1994 ,1997 Leyton Orient and Football Club de Gaillard in 2000 in his career.
