The second round of the West Regional Football championship has been programmed for this Sunday, April 18. After the conclusion of the first round, teams have had some two weeks to prepare themselves for this second round.
Matchday 8 of the Championship will come up in stadia across the West Region and with few rounds left for the football season, everything is still up for grabs. Teams who performed badly in the first round will look to correct while those who are topping the various groups will hope to maintain that and qualify for the mini interpool and to the National interpool for a chance of Elite 2 football.
Sim’s FC will hope to make it two wins on the spin when they take to the pitch this Sunday. SIM’S FC faces AS Noun FC (4pm) at Stade Lycee Classique.
On matchday 7 SIM’S FC defeated Scorpion 1-0. It has been a mixed season for Sim’s who struggled in the opening rounds of the championship but now seemed to have found their feet.
AS Menoua FC is another team that has been going on powerfully in the championship. Before the conclusion of the first round, the team won Royal FC 2-1 to go off on a high. They will certainly hope to continue that fine run of results when they face Bauxite FC (4 pm) at the Stade du Cenajes.
