In the English Premier League, Senegalese forward Sadio Mane came off the bench to win all three points for Liverpool thanks to his 78th minute strike. It was the lone goal of the game.
Arsenal had a walk in the park over Newcastle United. Their Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his 15 league goal of the season when he scored their first at the 54th minute.
Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe provided the first and fourth goals and scored the second at the 57th minute.
In the English second tier, 22-year-old Nigerian midfielder Bright Osayi-Samuel scored his 5th goal of the season for Queens Park Rangers in their 4-2 win over Stoke City. He was on target at the 71st minute.
Another potential Nigerian international, Eberechi Eze, 21, scored the second goal for Queens Park Rangers at the 38th minute.
Ivorian winger Yakou Meite scored his sixth goal of the season, when he opened the scoring for Reading at the 21st minute in their 0-3 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Ivorian forward Gervinho was the lone goal scorer in Parma’s 0-1 away win against Sassuolo. He was on target at the 25th minute.
In the Italian Serie B, 27-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Bright Adar scored a late winner for Juve Stabia in their 3-2 win over Crotone. His 90th minute strike was his second goal of the season.
There was a third goal of the season for Ghana’s Emmanuel Gyasi for Spezia in their 3-1 win over Ascoli. He scored their second goal at the 74th minute of the game.
In the Spanish LaLiga, 27-year-old Central African Republic midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia scored his first of the season for Valencia in their 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid. He scored their equalizer at 59th minute.
Beninese midfielder Cebio Sokou opened scored one and provided another for Arminia Bielefeld in a 2-4 away win against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, in the German second tier. He set up their first at the 13th minute before scoring their third from the spot at the 68th.
In the French Ligue 1, there was a 13th league goal of the season for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, he found the back of the net at the 51st minute for Lille in their 1-2 home loss against Marseille. He has also provided three assists in 24 League games.
Mozambican international Reinildo Macava scored an unfortunate own-goal that helped Marseille to claim all three points.
31-year-old Algerian forward Islam Slimani was the lone goal scorer in Monaco’s 1-0 win over Montpellier. It was his 9th goal of the season in 15 appearances. He has also provided 7 assists.
DRC midfielder Gaël Kakuta scored his second goal of the season for Amiens in their entertaining 4-4 draw with league leaders PSG. The 28-year-old provided their first and goal third goals. He scored the second 29th minute thanks to an assist from Malian forward Fousseni Diabate.
Kakuta returned the favour to the 24-year-old Malian who opened his goal scoring account for the season with their third goal at the 40th minute.
Gabonese midfielder Didier Ndong did not score, but his two assists to Mounir Chaouir permitted Dijon to salvage a point in their 2-2 draw with Bordeaux.
Lyon settled for a point at home after their 1-1 draw with Strasbourg. Their Burkinabe forward Bertrand Traoré put them ahead at the 26th minute.
Strasbourg’s Malian youth international Lucien Kevin Zohi equalized for them at 42nd minute thanks to an assist from Ghana’s Majeed Warris.
Gabonese playmaker Dennis Bouanga scored a penalty for Saint-Etienne, in 3-2 loss to Brest. Saint-Etienne went into the break with a-three-goal deficit. Their fight back was brave but incomplete.
There was a second league goal of the season for Malian youth international El Bilal Toure for Reims. His 72nd minute penalty was all they needed to beat Rennes 1-0.
23-year-old Senegalese forward Moussa Kone scores the winner for Nimes at the 80th minute in their 1-0 home win over Angers. It was his second goal of the season.
26-year-old Chadian forward Casimir Ninga was sent off at the 76th minute of the game for Angers.
In the French second tier, 20-year-old Senegalese forward Moussa Djitte scored the second goal for Grenoble in their 3-1 home win over Niort.
Cape Verdean midfielder Willy Semedo scored the third goal for Grenoble thanks to a fine assist from Cameroon midfielder Arsene Elogo.
The lone goal for Niort was scored by their Cameroon U-23 international midfielder Guy Marcelin Kilama
27-year-old Senegalese forward Abdoulaye Sane scored his 10th goal of the season for Sochaux in their 3-2 away loss to Valenciennes. His 11th minute strike gave Sochaux a-two-goal lead which they failed to hold on to.
Burkinabe forward Franck Traoré scored his second league goal of the season in eight appearances for Ajax in their 3-0 win RKC Waalwijk. He scored their third goal at the 53rd minute.
In the Belgian top flight, there was a fifth league goal of the season in 21 games for Ghanaian forward Jonah Osabutey for Royal Excel Mouscron in their 1-2 away win over Zulte-Waregem. He opened the scoring at the 31st minute of the game.
23-year-old Ghanaian winger Thomas Agyepong was sent off at the 90th minute for a second yellow for Waaland-Beveren in 2-1 loss away to Club Brugge.
Nigerian forward Terem Moffi scored his third goal of the season for Kortrijk when he opened the scoring at the 59th minute in their 0-3 win away to Oostende.
Senegalese forward Pape Habib Gueye rounded the scoring at the 90th minute.
In the Belgian second tier, 26-year-old Moroccan forward Tarik Tissoudali scored his third goal of the season for Beerschot Wilrijk, in their 2-1 win over Leuven. He scored the opener at the 49th minute
23-year-old Cameroon forward Serge Tabekou scored his eighth goal of the season for Union St Gilloise in their 3-3 home draw against Roseleare. He opened the scoring at the 24th minute.
Nigerian forward Savior Godwin scored the vital equalizer for Roseleare at the 83rd minute. It was his fifth of the season.
Angolan international forward Fabio Abreu scored the equalizer for Moreirense at the 36th minute in their 1-1 draw with Portimonense. It was the Angolan’s seventh league goal of the season.
Malian international forward Moussa Marega was on target for Porto at the 60th minute in their 1-2 win over Vitoria Guimaeres. He scored their second goal at the 60th minute in a game marred by racist chants towards the Malian from the home fans. Marega’s goal was provided by Congolese defender Chancel Mbemba.
Cape Verdean striker Jovane Cabral equalized for Sporting Lisbon at the 84th minute from the spot in their 1-1 away draw with Rio Ave.
Ghanaian forward George Ofosu scored the third and final goal for Varzim in their 3-0 win over Estoril.
Ivorian forward Koro Kone was a hat-trick hero for Servette in their 4-1 win over FC Zuerich. He scored their second, third and fourth goals.
Nigerian forward Tosin Aiyegun scored the consolatory goal for FC Zuerich. It was his fourth goal of the season.
30-year-old Ivorian midfielder Xavier Kouassi was sent off at the 55th minute for a second yellow card for FC Sion who lost at home 1-2 Xamax. Their consolatory goal was scored by Ivorian forward Seydou Doumbia at the 48th minute.
Senegalese forward Demba Ba scored the only goal of the game for Istanbul Basaksehir, in their 1-0 win over Besiktas.
Nigerian winger Chukwuma Akabueze scored the equalizer for Umraniyespor in their 1-1 draw with Boluspor.
Nigerian forward Sikiru Olatunbosun scored the third goal at the 90th minute for Menemen Belediye Spor, in their 3-1 win over Eskisehirspor.
There was a 2-1 win for Trabzonspor over Sivasspor, Malian forward Mustapha Yatabare scored at the 90th minute to half the deficit for Sivasspor but it was too late for a fight back.
Zambian forward Enoch Mwepu scored the second goal for Salzburg in their 2-3 home loss to LASK. He was on target at the 82nd minute, a little too late for them to get a third goal and earn at least a point.
Nigerian midfielder Rilwan Hassan scored the third goal for SonderjysKE who defeated Hobro 3-1 in match-day 21 of the Danish top flight. It was the first goal in 21 league appearances this season for the native of Lagos. He has however provided five assists.
Egyptian forward Ahmed Hassan scored the first goal of the game for Olympiakos with at the fourth minute of the game in their 4-0 win over Panionios. Moroccan forward Youssef El Arabi grabbed a brace. He scored their second and fourth goals of the game.
There was a 90th minute goal for Nigerian forward Abiola Dauda for Panetolikos in their 3-1 loss to Panathinaikos. It was his fourth of the season.
