Tanzania coach, Etienne Ndairagije says his team is growing with the competition as well as building a fighting spirit as the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) approaches the final group games.
“The two games are different. My team will grow with the competition. We are looking at building the fighting spirit and get three points in our games. We were afraid in our first game. I don’t think the last game was harder than this one. This game was a hard one to win for us.” Tanzania coach, Etienne Ndairagije told journalists during post-match press conference after his wards recorded their first win at the ongoing Total CHAN 2020.

He said: “I will like to see what will happen tomorrow for my players to recover. I don’t want to disclose my plan for the Guinea game. We want to qualify.
I congratulate the Namibian coach. They played well today and the work of the coach manifested in their style of play. I am happy and proud of my players for doing the essentials and getting the three points. I had to change the formation from the last game which showed in this game.”
Tanzania moved to third position on the Group D table with three points, one point behind their next opponent, Guinea, and the Chipolopolo of Zambia.
A win or draw in their next game depending on the result of the clash between Zambia and eliminated Namibia will decide whether Tanzania will make it to the quarter-final of the tournament.
