Under-17 Lions of Cameroon forward Wassou Goue Patient has been handed the golden boot for his exploits in his maiden appearance in the Easter cup tournament.
The winger was the star of the 2021 Patricia BERTHELOT Easter Cup tournament as he scored five goals for Cotonsport of Garoua U18s who finished runners-up to host EFBC in Saturday’s final.
Wassou Goue scored five goals in five games in the tournament, scoring in three of Cotonsport’s five games including a hat-trick against Union Sportive of Douala Under-18s.
Born in 2004, the son of Goue Goue Wassou formed an important part of the Cameroon U-17 Lions Team Coach Anicet Mbarga Foe put together for the canceled AFCON.
Wassou Goue scored thrice in friendly six games for Cameroon in the build-up to the 2021 Under-17 AFCON and has carried the form into the ongoing tournament.
16-year old Wassou blessed with pace and an excellent dribbling ability plus excellent finishing is already showing signs of greatness.
