2019 Under 17 AFCON winner with the junior Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Wamba Leonel Djouffa has agreed a deal to join Lithuanian topflight side Le Futbola Klubs Spartaks, allezleslions.net is reporting.
Cameroon’s lead scorer in the Pre-AFCON tournament in December 2018 in Antalya and the country’s second goal scorer in the tournament’s opening game against Guinea in Tanzania Wamba has been one of the most sorted out player in the squad.
This move mean the former AS Menoua forward who had multiple offers will begin his football education abroad from Lithuania under coach Aleksey Eremenko Sr.
Details of the contract are yet to be disclosed but Wamba becomes the second player to move abroad from the Cameroon team that won the AFCON in Tanzania and participated in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
The big forward follows the traces of Steve Mvoue who agreed a deal to swap Azur Star Academy for Toulouse earlier this year.
In all Wamba has scored five goals in 12 international appearances for the Under-17 Lions including a hat trick against Uganda in the 2018 UEFA assists tournament in Antalya.
