The super Falcons of Nigeria continued their fine form in the WAFU B currently going at Parc des Sports at Abidjan as they won their last match of the group beating Mali 2-0.
The match which was touted the match to watch in the group saw the two group leaders go head to head in an intriguing match.
The two teams had won their first two games in the tournament beating Burkina Faso and Niger convincingly before the game.
Though the two teams had already booked their places in the semifinals, pride was at stake as the African champions, the Super Falcons wanted to keep the African giant status in African female football while Mali would seek to continue their fine form at the tournament.
However, at the end, it was the African Champions that triumph in one of their toughest game of the tournament scoring in the 67th and 90+2 minutes to emerge group B winners.
Rafiat Sule broke the deadlock in the 67th minutes while smoking hot striker in the tournament, Uche Kanu wrapped things up to gave Nigeria 2-0 win over the Malians.
The Falcons will take on Group A runners-up Ghana in the semi-final.
