The Teranga Lionesses of Senegal pipped debutant, Burkina Faso 1-0 to record its second win in its second Group A game on Tuesday.
Both sides were not separated after 84 minutes until a penalty tends to be the game-changer.
Korka Fall converted the penalty in the 85th minute to score the deciding goal for the Teranga Lionesses.
Senegal had earlier defeated Uganda 2-0 in its opening game while Burkina Faso suffered a 1-0 loss to host, Morocco.
The win took Senegal to the top of Group A with a maximum of six points after two games.
The Senegalese will next face Morocco while Burkina Faso trade tackles with Uganda.
Morocco and Uganda will also square up later tonight in both sides’ second group game.
