Ahead of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) next month in Morocco, Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on Saturday faced European opposition in Le Bleues of France in an international friendly encounter.
France recorded a resounding 4-0 triumph over Cameroon to continue its dominance over African oppositions.
Paris FC’s Clara Mateo set up Lyon’s Melvine Malard for the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute.
Another Lyon player, Griedge Mbock increased Le Bleues’s lead in the 38th minute.
Montpelier’s Marion Torrent assisted Paris FC’s Ouleymata Sarr who converted the French third goal in the 58th minute.
Five minutes later, Ouleymata Sarr once again scored Le Bleues’ fourth goal and her second of the game off Everton’s Kenza Dali’s assist.
Westham’s Hawa Cissoko was sent off in the 96th minute for France after her second bookable offence in the space of eight minutes.
The Indomitable Lionesses is using the friendly to prepare for the 12th WAFCON next month where the team will face Zambia, Togo, and Tunisia in Group B.
France is preparing for the UEFA Women’s Euro next month where Le Bleues will tackle Iceland, Italy, and Belgium in Group D.
