The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on Tuesday recorded a 9-2 victory over Paris League club, AAS Sarcelles before heading to Morocco for the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Bella Rose, Aretouyap Kome Fadimatou, Michaela Abam, and Wabeua Doly all scored two (2) goals apiece for Cameroon.
Ewodo Ekongo who was the last Indomitable Lionesses player to enter the lions’ den this week scored a goal.
The win ended Cameroon’s preparatory games for WAFCON 2022 after playing a total number of four (4) friendly matches.
The team recorded two (2) victories over Senegal (1-0) and AAS Sarcelles (9-2), suffered a 4-0 defeat to French Le Bleues, and settled for a 2-2 draw with Senegal.
The Gabriel Zabo tutored side will depart for Casablanca, Morocco today ahead of its opening group game against the Copper Queens of Zambia on July 3, 2022.
The 2016 beaten finalist will face Zambia, Tunisia, and debutant, Togo in Group B.
