Volleyball Lionesses receptionist Fawziya Abdoulkarim has completed a switch to French Entente Saint Chamond Volley for the upcoming season.
The club announced the acquisition of the Garoua-native on Monday June 15 through their Facebook page.
The newly promoted Elite division outfit has convinced the 25-year-old 2019 African Women’s Volleyball Championship winner to join them for the 2020-2021 season.
She becomes the Club’s third signing of the current transfer window.
Speaking upon the announcement of the deal, Fafa as she is popularly called expressed her delight about the move.
“I am very happy to join the ESCV squad for the upcoming season. Joining a newly promoted Club represents a big challenge for me. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates.
Fafa has been a key member of the current Cameroon Women’s Volleyball team under coach Jean René Akono in the last two international competitions.
Commenting on their recruit coach Jonathan of ESCV wasn’t short of good comments for the Lioness.
“Fafa is a player I know very well. I am very happy about her decision to join in this project.
She was a regular with her Club last season. In addition, she is a part of the Cameroon team with which she won the 2019 African Women’s Volleyball Championship. She is an important addition to the team, and our project.
The commendable efforts in properly organizing the Cameroon Volleyball Federation is seemingly reaping benefits for the of its players for Country and Clubs.
