The captain of the Volleyball Lionesses of Cameroon Nana Christelle has told the team’s media officer Thierry Kanto that the Lionesses are in Egyptian to retain the crown they won 2 years ago in Yaounde.
“We have extra Motivation as the title holders and our objective is to defend our title, we have worked for that we are few hours away from kick off, we are very focused and we want to make Cameroonians happy again”
“Yes we are away from home but we are telling ourselves that we are at home and we our working on our mental strength so as to remain focus so as to meet our objective” Nana added
“We will approach which ever team we have to face with the same motivation, the best way in this kind of competitions is to ensure we win every game, if we do that we are sure to be champions are at the end”
Nana was Cameroon’s lead scorer in the 2017 competition in Yaounde Cameroon, if she brings her form in Yaounde to Cameroon then contenders like Kenya and host Egypt will need something special to stop this great generation of girls guided by Coach Jean Rene Akono in Egypt.
Cameroon is looking to win back to back titles in the for the first time in the country’s history.
