Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr have announced that their Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar has picked up a heel injury that will keep him out for the rest of the current season.
The 30-year old limped off his side’s training session on Thursday after feeling pains from the same heel that caused him to be replaced by the Cameroon coach after 45 minutes last month against in Japoma.
The latest set back ends his participation in the mid season camp and also rules him out for the rest of the season.
Al Nassr SC must do without the man who has scored eight goals and provided three assists for the rest of the season as he embarks in his recovery regime.
Al Nassr are currently ranked third in the Saudi Pro championship with 48 points from 25 games so far.
Aboubakar will embark in a recovery process after results from the scan of the injury which doesn’t appear to be mild.
The striker will likely miss Cameroon’s June AFCON 2023 qualifier double matches thus leaving Coach Rigobert Song about the choice of his forwards.
