Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar on the books of Turkish side Besiktas has scored and assisted in his side’s 3-2 win away at Denizlispor in a delayed Turkish Super Lig match-day five fixture.
The former Porto forward played a massive part in the final outcome of the game from the 16th minute when he assisted Atiba Hutchinson to score the opener.
Abou displayed his confidence in the 36th minute of the game when he stepped up and converted a spot-kick to make it two-nil for the rampant visitors.
Besiktas took a two-nil lead to the half-time break but the contest still had more to offer in the second segment.
Besiktas scored their third of the night barely three minutes into the second-half through Canadian forward Cyle Christopher Larin.
Denizlispor rallied in the last 14 minutes and scored twice through Bosnian midfielder Muris Mešanović in the 76th minutes and French midfielder Hadi Sacko in the 94th minutes. Unfortunately it was too little, too late as Besiktas protected their one goal advantage till the full-time whistle.
Aboubakar was replaced in the 90th minute and watched from the sidelines for few minutes before celebrating the win with his mates in the end.
It is the second win in five this term and the Club are 12th of 21 Clubs on the log with 7 points to their credit.
Besiktas host Yeni Malatyaspor in their next Super Lig assignment on Sunday.
