Interested parties list for the services of unsettled Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar of FC Porto have two new names.
French Ligue 1 outfits Stade Rennais and AS Saint Etienne are keen on signing the 28-year-old former Valenciennes goal poacher, according reports from Portuguese outlet ‘A Bola.”
The erstwhile FC Lorient forward could return to France this summer though there is serious interest from Turkish sides Besiktas and Fernabahce.
The agile forward joined Porto at the cost of €3 Million in 2014, still technically untidy at 22, but in six years as a player of the club with a loan spell at Besiktas, Aboubakar is certainly ready for a new challenge.
Last month, Spanish outlet Marca reported interest from Premier League outfit West Ham United.
Though the former Cotonsport of Garoua forward has struggled with his fitness in the last 12 months, restricting him to Cameos under coach Sergeo Conceição, his energetic runs, and movements make many believe he still has much to offer elsewhere.
It has been a difficult 2019-2020 season for the striker as he has made just nine appearances from which he has scored two goals.
In all he has scored 73 goals in 155 league games since arriving Portugal in August 2014.
The Cameroon international with 20 goals in 63 appearance has previously had his first taste of football out of Cameroon in France.

A switch to Champions League-bound Stade Rennais or Saint Etienne won’t be bad for the forward, as he seeks to revive his career.
