23 year old former Intermediate Lion,Victor Mengue has indicated his intentions in this Year’s Cameroon League one Championship.
The former AS Fortuna forward netted 5 times for the center Regional club upon his return from Gabon last season, but opted on the 1st of December last year to move to the West Region to solve Fovu’s goalscorers problems experienced in the 2017 campaign.
Mengue needed no time to tell his New fans why he joined the Fovu family He quickly punished Astres of Douala with 2 first half goals and another in the second Half to hand 3 points to his club as Fovu won by 3 goals to 1 and earn himself 4 special Statistics;
1)He becomes the first player to score a League one hat trick at the modern Kwekom Stadium.
2)First Fovu Player to score a hat trick since the club’s return to the top flight over a season ago.
3)First Player in the LFPC era to score 1 hat trick in Match day one of the top flight championship
4)He got his first Hat trick in professional Football
His goals this Sunday leaves him as the current leading scorer after Day one of the League.

Mengue made his debut in the top flight Championship in Cameroon in 2013 as an 18 year old player for Canon Yaounde and has since then played for Dragon Yaounde, AS Stade Mandji in Gabon before returning to AS Fortuna in 2018 where he scored 5 goals with one of the goals scored against Fovu of Baham.
He was a part of the Intermediate Lions team under Coach Doumbe Bosso in 2013 and becomes just the 3rd player to score a hat trick in the Cameroon top flight Championship in the last 2 seasons,he adds his name to a list that has just the name of Marius Mouandilmadji and Junior Rostand Mbai of Cotonsport and Dragon respectively.
Speaking to kick442.com just after the game, Mengue; “I believe this is a reward of the coaches and the team work and by the Grace of God we will get more rewards.The team matters most I want to get more goals for my team if it takes me to the top of the scoring chart then that God”
