Newly-promoted Cameroon Elite One side Astres of Douala have completed the signings of 24-year-old Cameroon midfielder Valentine Beo Batto.
The intermediate Lions of Cameroon midfielder joins Astres of Douala from rivals Eding Sport de la Lekie.
The switch was confirmed this Wednesday at the recruiting Club’s Secretariat in Douala following fruitful negotiations.
He has penned a one-year deal which reunites him with coach Anicet Mbarga Foe with whom he won the 2017 Cameroon Elite One title at Eding Sport de la Lekie.
Bato is an established player in coach Yves Clement Arroga’s intermediate Lions team with a goal to his credit scored against the DR Congo during Cameroon’s Pre-CHAN 2020 invitational tournament in February in Brazzaville.
In addition to him, two defenders; Eloundou Celestin Berthold from Feutcheu FC and Kameni Loïc from Unisport of Bafang complete on a one-year-deal each.

Astres rejoined the Cameroon Elite One championship as champions of the second tier Championship last season.
The Club is in full preparation for the upcoming season expected to begin later this year.
