Cotonsport of Garoua and Feutcheu FC of Njiko have braved the odds this Monday and displayed good football despite the very challenging weather Conditions.

The kick off whistle was blasted by referee Ngwa Blaise and the game kicked off at the same time as the with heavy rains.

Cotonsport dominated the early Stanzas of the game without end product.

In the 15th minute a well worked action between Arnaud Sibiri and Francis Elimbi presented the ball before Kamilou Daouda who shot wide.

In-form Arnaud Sibiri will break the deadlock in the 34th minute with a well taken shot from within the box to give Cotonsport the lead.

The rain will increase after the goal causing the game to halt for 5 minutes in the 40th minute.

Upon resumption both sides exhibited few goal mouth actions until half time.

Second half

El Faouzan Samaldini won a set piece in the second minute of the game but Cotonsport defended properly but the follow-up counter break for Cotonsport saw Dikoume Yvan bringing down Kamilou Daouda. On a yellow card and being the last defender referee Ngwa Blaise reached out for a second yellow and reduced Feutcheu FC to 10.

The Technical bench of Feutcheu FC led by Jean Pierre Fiala Fiala reacted by bringing in Antoine Ngueleu.

Junior Garhagne could have made more of the time and space he had in the box in the 58th but he could not connect with the ball.

Salmadini created space in the right wing with wonderful dribble skills to win a set piece from 30 yards out but his 80th minutes effort was cleared.

In the 83rd minutes,there was a penalty shout from Feutcheu after the ball hit Zacharie Ndongo Foe but the referee waved play on.

The goal scorer Arnaud was replaced in the 84th as Cotonsport went for more defensive cover.

At full Time the Cotonites were visibly satisfied with their first win in the playoffs and first victory away from home this season.

The Cotonites will face APEJES of Mfou in their second game on Sunday.
