Ambitious NFD outfit Sekhukhune United are in advanced negotiations to sign 26-year old Cameroonian defensive midfielder Junior Awono.
The second tier side is reportedly treating final details with the entourage of the former Stellenbosch FC box to box midfielder.
Awono is no stranger to South African football as he had an excellent 2019 season for Stellenbosch FC and even won the player of the season Award as his side earned promotion to the PSL.
The former Intermediate Lions of Cameroon skipper is already familiarizing with the Sekhukhune environment.
Sekhukhune United currently top the second tier championship and are on a mission to earn promotion to the DStv Premiership.
Awono has achieved promotion to the top-flight before and may just bring the required in achieving that feat.
