Okpodo Fabrice Nenie, the skipper of Togolese side Unisport of Sokode has stated that his side has a chance of getting a result against Cotonsport of Garoua this Sunday in the second leg CAF Confederation cup preliminary round fixture at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua.
This Sunday’s game is the reverse of the fixture Cotonsport won by two goals to nil a week ago in Lome.
Speaking during an interview just before his team’s recognizance session at the Roumde Adja Stadium on Sunday the 24-year-old central stated clearly that they are in Cameroon to mount a comeback.
“We knew that the first game at home was going to be difficult. We tried our best and Cotonsport won. Now we have told ourselves, Cotonsport won in our stadium that’s how we can win in Garoua. We hope we can achieve that,” Okpodo concluded.
The defender trained with the rest of his mates and retired to their base at the end.
Expectations are high within the ranks of Unisport of Sokode and back at home.
The visitors must win by two to have a fighting chance of staying in the tie, if not Cotonsport sails through to the next stage of the competition while awaiting the results of the game between Green Eagles of Zambia and Musongati of Burundi.
