The “clash of previous winners” this Sunday at the middle Farms Stadium in Limbe was arguably the biggest game in the land in match day 8.The meeting of winners of the league in 20 previous occasions also came into this 22nd meeting of theirs since 2008 with the 11 points each.

When Referee Mbelle Mbelle gave the kick off fans were expecting first class entertainment.

Serge Seko playing against his former club came close to scoring in the 7th minutes when Captain Kamilou Daouda sleezed open the USD back line and set him up with space in the net waiting for the ball but his finishing was poor as he put the ball over the Bar.

Ngweni Ndasi operating in the center back role for Cotonsport came close to getting the opener in the 21st minute but his close range header was cleared off the line.

In the 32nd minute 20 year old Arnaud Sibiri nearly got his first goal for Cotonsport feeding off a fine cross from Serge Seko but he could not direct his header towards goal as Cotonsport kept multiplying frightening moments for USD.

The first booking of the game came in the 45th minute when Banga Bienvenue brought down Nlend Samuel.

The Refereeing team signal 2 minutes of additional time for stoppages but after 47 minutes in the first half it ended zero USD zero for Cotonsport of Garoua.

In the second segment Cotonsport stayed on the front foot and they could have punished USD in the 52nd minute when Etta Bawak load in a wicked cross but Kamilou’s header went wide.

Ngweni Ndasi picked up a yellow card inn the 55th as he foul to give away a dangerous set piece that Nlend Samuel couldn’t exploit.

Coach Ebwelle reacted in the 59th minute by throwing in Araina Guime and Innocent Assana. Araina made a long run from the center circle to deep in the USD only shot into the into the hands of the Lako Wendeu of USD.

Kamilou magically opened the USD back line in the 64th minute and played in Arnaud Sibiri but Sibiri’s finish was poor.

Lack of proper communication between Ndasi and his Djeri on goal for Cotonsport nearly gave USD a chance but Cotonsport’s defensive recovery was good.

A 76th minutes error from Serge Seko forced Ndasi out of his position and USD capitalized and Tchayi Cyrille Tchamba gave USD the lead with his 3rd goal of the season.

Cotonsport in Ndongo Foe came in to add energy in the Cotonsport midfield while Yvan Ndiesse came in to seal the USD back line.

Pokam Jose of got a late yellow card while Serge Seko was sent off for a foul on the goalscorer for USD. Kamilou also picked up a booking for arguing with the just like USD defender Sieghe was booked for time waisting.

The game ended 1 nil for USD and the Nasara went away happy with their 4th win against Cotonsport in 22 games from 2008.

The Cotonites remain strugglers in Limbe with no win in 3 games this season.
