Central African Football Federations, UNIFFAC, have announced that the 2021 Under-17 boys tournament will be played later this year at a yet to be determined venue.
According to a recent release signed by the regional boss Gustavo Ndong, the body plans to hold its regular annual competition in November.
Football officials in the region have resolved to open the bidding process to different members with immediate effect.
The 2020 competition was abandoned due to the outbreak of the the Corona Virus pandemic and consequently its AFCON tournament initially scheduled for early this year.
Eight nations involved in youth football are expected to participate in the event.
Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville,DR Congo, Sao Tome, Central Africa Republic and Equatorial Guinea are expected to be in the mix with one of the nations as host.
Cameroon are back-to-back champions of the tournament and coach Anicet Mbarga Foe’s boys are expected to get to camp soonest to achieve performance through proper preparations.
