Kevin Prince Milla earned a point for in Cameroon’s in the opening fixture of the 2020 Under-20 UNNIFAC tournament.
The boys of coach Christophe Ousmanou played a 1-1 draw against DR Congo thanks to the Renaissance of Ngoumou forward who was lively upfront all afternoon.
The 18-year-old 2019-2020 Cameroon Elite Two co-top scorer scored his first UNIFFAC goal on debut barely 19 minutes into the game off an assist from Alioum Moubarak.
Both sides then settled into the game creating a couple of chances but poor finishing was their undoing.
The first segment ended with Cameroon leading by one goal to nil.
Upon resumption for the second segment, Cameroon looked better with multiple incursions but the Congolese stopped the offensive moves.
Against the run of play, Linda Mtanga leveled matters in the 73rd minute.
Both sides failed to score in the remaining 17 minutes with Cameroon being more wasteful.
Both sides share the spoils and now have to invest all energy in the next game against Congo Republic.
